Up against Saudi Arabia, another regional heavyweights, Yemen raced to a 2-0 lead inside the first 30 minutes, but their fates were sealed by injury time goal (2-3).

Bahrain, meanwhile, have won both their matches so far -- 3-2 against Saudi Arabia, and 2-0 against Iraq.

The Saturday doubleheader will also see bitter rivals Iraq and Saudi Arabia in a virtual semi-final match.
